Counter-espionage tips for Imperia Online
Shield every province – it is better to shield each and every one of your provinces with armies of spies. This way, enemy has no way of knowing where you stash your resources (other than gold) and limited number of shielded provinces does not help him to choose the right one(s) thus he will either not risk an attack or blindly attack one province (usually the capital). Also, enemies trying to set you back by killing off the bulk of your army will have no idea where to find them and what your military strength is. Few will risk killing off their troops in such a blind attack.
High counter-espionage level – having the highest counter-espionage level you can afford alone will help you catch more enemy spies in their attempt to infiltrate your Empire.
Alliance research – there is an easy way of gaining at least two more levels of counter-espionage fast and cheap. It is the alliance research which gives bonus to all members of your alliance. So, become a member of an alliance or found your own to reap the benefits. Either become the leader and order the research or ask your leader to do so.
Army of spies – the more spies you have stationed in a province, the harder it is for enemy to infiltrate it successfully. Of course, for this precaution to be the most effective, you will have to combine it with high counter-espionage level.
